The name “Upchurch” comes from an old family name of one of our founders. The lineage had no one to continue the name so we decided to carry it on. We chose this name because we felt that it represents both our family values and our deep passion for carrying on the process of making great tasting chocolate.

Our logo, the hot air balloon, was chosen to further emphasis the point of “carrying on” and to help us remember to enjoy not only the destination, but the journey in getting there. The best part about a hot air balloon is that you’ll always end up somewhere different than where you first lifted off.
